Heaps Decent is an Australian organisation empowering young people through skills building, cultural access and creativity.
Working with underrepresented and marginalised youth, our participatory program of music and visual media activities provides a pathway to discovery, personal growth and agency through self-expression.After our fundraising efforts at our benefactor Fuzzy’s Listen Out events Australia-wide, the final figures are in… We managed to raise over $22,500! The funds raised go directly into program delivery and help sustain programs such as our ongoing Juvenile Justice workshops and workshops in the tiny far-western NSW town of Wilcannia.
A HUGE, heartfelt THANKS! goes out to each and every person that donated to Heaps Decent via the CASH 4 COMP program at Listen Out and we can’t describe our gratitude to Fuzzy for allowing us to collect donations at their event, without whom we probably wouldn’t be able to survive. The CASH 4 COMP program has raised over $200,000 since its inception in 2007. It has been instrumental to Heaps Decent as an organisation!
A massive THANKS! also goes out to our tireless volunteers, who spend the day of the festival collecting money without question. We thank them for their unwavering support, CASH 4 COMP wouldn’t be possible with out you guys!
Congratulations to Fuzzy on another incredible event, we’ll see you at the gate of Harbourlife!
