SPOTLIGHT ON: DAN KASH

Introducing the talented artist Daniel, aka Dan Kash! 

HD writer Santa had the pleasure of chatting with Daniel about his musical journey, highlights to date and aspirations.

Daniel lives in Sydney, but his journey began in Iran, where he spent his early years before emigrating to Australia with his family in 2006. The start in Australia wasn’t always easy for him, but there was one thing that always made him happy. 

“Music has always been my passion. Since around 2011, it’s been my number one focus — whether it’s dance, producing, DJing, or any other form of creative arts, music is where my heart lies. I never listened to English music until I came to Australia. The first English-speaking musician who really inspired me was Jennifer Lopez. I’m still her biggest fan today.”

Despite his many interests, Daniel’s heart lies in DJing and producing. His journey into music production began just before the COVID-19 pandemic, with Daniel diving into a Certificate course in electronic music. Since then, he’s been immersing himself in the world of music production, improving his skills and exploring genres like EDM, house, and techno.

“My music has evolved over the years. I started with just listening to music, but now I’m creating my own beats and tracks. It’s been an incredible journey of self-discovery and growth.”

With the help of Adam in our Home Base program Daniel has already released his first single, “Engage”. And his goal is clear: he wants to release more tracks and earn a living doing what he loves, inspiring others along the way. 

“I want to show others that they can do it if they have the passion, if they have the dream.”

He also wants to establish himself as a DJ, has already had a few gigs and will soon have his biggest gig to date, and he’s busy preparing.
