Heaps Decent is an Australian organisation empowering young people through skills building, cultural access and creativity.
Working with underrepresented and marginalised youth, our participatory program of music and visual media activities provides a pathway to discovery, personal growth and agency through self-expression.Every week, we open up the studio and offer free music recording sessions with industry professionals for you to make your very own track – mixed and everything.
We’ve been running this program for 10 years and it has been the starting point for so much fresh young talent. From total bangers and cutting storytelling to heartfelt ballads, the amazing back catalogue of this project houses around 500 tracks.
To book in a sesh – sign up via our enrolment form here. Someone from the Heaps Decent team will be in contact and book ya in!

Content Note: We’re all about letting you do your thing and telling your story, but we can’t record anything that glamorizes crime, violence, hate speech, or discrimination. Keep it real, talk about what matters to you, and let’s create something that sparks conversation and makes an impact—while staying respectful.
