GIRLS REFUGES
June 22, 2022
In 2017 we received support from APRA to run song writing and music production workshops with girls in The Girls Refuge and Lilians here in Sydney. We’ve had some incredible female artists involved including Nina Las Vegas, Elizabeth Rose, Kota Banks and Sparrows. In 2018, thanks to a surprise donation from The xx during their Australian tour, we continued the visits. In 2020, CCI Giving supported our refuge program for the second year running. With the support of Be Kind Sydney we are able to continue creative workshops in 2021. We’re delighted to support the creative expression of young women, and those wanting to enter the music industry with skills development and mentoring.
