Inspired by the roadside wanderers affectionately known as shinglebacks, bobtails or sleepies, depending on where you are in Australia,
Sleepy Lizards is Ego’s entry into both printed media as well as augmented reality art, with the artwork viewable as a 3D animation via phone app.
Video artist Ego’s knack for high intensity, cut and paste, multi-media collages has seen him exhibit work at Sydney’s Vivid Festival and Hobart’s MONA FOMA, as well as keeping him in high demand for commissions from brands such as Slurpee, Nissan, and Lion Nathan, music videos for labels such as Modular, Future Classic and Sweat It Out, and live visuals for a swathe of Australia’s music industry, most notably as the touring visual designer for Paces.
