Heaps Decent is an Australian organisation empowering young people through skills building, cultural access and creativity.

Working with underrepresented and marginalised youth, our participatory program of music and visual media activities provides a pathway to discovery, personal growth and agency through self-expression.

THANKS FUZZY!

February 5, 2013

Since October, Heaps Decent has been fortunate enough to raise much needed funds at Fuzzy’s Parklife, Harbourlife and Field Day events. By way of $20 donated by each of Fuzzy’s guest ticket holders, and a great deal of time and effort donated by our fantastic Heaps Decent volunteers, we’ve managed to raise a whopping $58,385.60 !!!

The money raised goes directly towards project work being carried out at the moment. As Heaps Decent continues to grow at a rapid rate, our workshop capacity is increasing out of sight, with more and more workshops being facilitated each week. We continue to sustain our successful and established workshop projects at places ‘Home Base’ – our weekly drop in workshop in Redfern, Key College, Juvenile Justice centres in Lidcombe, Campbelltown and in Wagga Wagga, as well as a number of other projects throughout the year.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support from our amazing benefactor Fuzzy, anyone that has donated to Heaps Decent, all the countless ours of peoples’ time spent volunteering, supporters spreading the word and all the general support offered.
