Recap: Home Base Showcase

September 18, 2014

Showcase August 2014

At the end of August we ran our 5th Showcase for our emerging Home Base artists. Home Base is our weekly workshop at Redfern Community Centre, and fosters a creative atmosphere for the development of some talented emerging artists who have shown a ton of promise with their commitment to music. The Showcase doubled as our reward party for our Pozible campaign.

It has been an incredible year for this great group of young people, with plenty of their songs given air time on both triple j and FBi Radio, a couple of them even receiving coveted rotation spots on air – what a feat! The development of these young people has been possible through the support of the Clemenger staff, the Australia Council for the Arts and ArtsNSW.

Held in the amazing new space at Giant Dwarf Theatre, the show was a great success with friends and family there to support the eager performers! There were too many stand outs to name, so you’ll just have to make it down to the next one to see for yourself!
