On Monday 21 June at 2pm Company B Belvoir & YOUTH EXPRESS are putting on two new productions, HUNTER HUNTED and I Am The Best At The Worst I Do.
They are two group-devised productions by the kids at Key College and Marist Youth Care. James Winter is the director assisting the young guys, and (like the last couple of years) we have no doubt they will be awesome!
Can’t wait to see them!
Warning: There will be quite a bit of swearing in the plays.

We’re very proud to say that Heaps Decent’s Levins and Nina were named today in The Music Network’s Top 30 Under 30 list!
This goes out as a challenge for some of the young artists we work with, next year let’s get your names on this list! You hear us Yung Nooky? D-Minor? Heather May? Triple Cain?

As this week is Reconciliation Week and the 10 year anniversary of the Reconciliation Bridge Walk, the New South Wales Reconciliation Council held a Schools Reconciliation Challenge to raise awareness of the concept of Reconciliation amongst young people. Yesterday, some of the Heaps Decent crew headed down to their Awards Ceremony where we were privileged to experience a fantastic choir performance by Revesby South Public School students and Major Award winner Paige Lagettie’s stellar performance of her Major Award winning song! (You can check out her track in the video below..)

Heaps Decent spent the day recording with Paige Lagettie last week. Paige wrote “Don’t Look Down”, the song that won the Schools Reconciliation Challenge run by the New South Wales Reconciliation Council this year.

The song you can hear was produced by Adam Bozzetto for Heaps Decent. You’ll be able to hear the finished song later this week, we’re really proud of Paige for making it sound so great!

Thanks to Paige and her Dad for coming to record with us, to Gadigal for providing us with somewhere to record, to Ben for engineering, to Adam Bozzetto for the great beat and to Julian and Leanne from NSW Reconciliation Council for putting the awesome project together!

FBi’s ALL THE BEST is a show dedicated to the stories of Sydney, broadcasting every Saturday morning from 10am.

Last weekend, it aired a story on Detours and Destinations produced my Nikita Agzarian (Nina’s sister) and Katherine Lim.

For more info about the show (or to listen to more stories), head to the All The Best website or FBi Radio.

By total chance, a journalist from the Koori Mail (who was checking out The Message Sticks Film Festival) stopped by the Detours and Destinations installation at the Sydney Opera House.
It’s by far, our favourite piece about the project. A BIG thanks goes to Rachel Scollay for the article.

In the studio with Marley Grovenor.

We paid a visit to our boy Marley at his bedroom studio in Redfern to hear what he’s been working on lately. He produced the beat (and a stack of other great ones) that he’s rapping over in the clip.
