VIDEO: ‘DINNERTIME’ by St. Therese Community School, Wilcannia

August 8, 2012

A few months ago, the Heaps Decent team made the journey out to Wilcannia to kick-start our quarterly workshop program with kids throughout the area. Our first stop was at St. Therese Community School, where we were able to record a couple of tracks with some of the adorable students (who ranged from 5 to 8 years of age) – “We Come From Wilcannia” and “Dinnertime”.

A massive thank you goes out to amazingly talented local Sydney designer and illustrator Georgia Perry who, along with the fine people at Toby and Pete, have crafted this brilliant animation. Heaps Decent are incredibly excited to bring you “Dinnertime” – a word of warning though, don’t watch this on an empty stomach!

Funded by the Department Of Human Services, our Wilcannia project will run for the next two years. Involving 8 trips to Wilcannia, the project has already proven itself to be a great success. Check out Charlie’s recap of the trip here and make sure to watch the video for a glimpse into the how our workshops are run.
