Icey: Live at Parklife

October 19, 2011

Icey: Live at Parklife from Heaps Decent on Vimeo.

Heaps Decent were given the opportunity to program the opening slot on one of the stages at the Sydney leg of this year’s Parklife festival.

We gave the set to Icey, a young MC we met in Wagga Wagga in 2008 and have continued to work with regularly at our music workshops. We also invited some other young artists to collaborate with Icey and perform with him.

Our pals at Hobo Gestapo filmed some much better quality footage of the set but while we wait for that to be uploaded here’s something I shot with a Flip Cam from in the crowd. A little highlights reel of the awesome set the boys did on the day.

We are working on recording each of the songs from the set and plan to put them up on the site soon for you to hear!

Congratulations to Icey, Kurva, Tweak and Teks for performing their first set together and killing it. Thanks to Adam Bozzetto and Joyride for putting the set together and performing on the day. Thanks so much to Fuzzy for providing us and the boys with the opportunity and we look forward to doing it again!
